Panel Beating & Dent Repairs in Ōtāhuhu, Auckland
A dent does more damage than it looks. Beyond the appearance, broken paint lets moisture into bare metal, and in Auckland’s climate that becomes rust faster than most people expect. H&H Auto Traders carries out panel beating and panel repair work at our Ōtāhuhu workshop, from car park knocks to larger panel damage.
Because we are a full workshop rather than a dedicated body shop, we can also deal with anything mechanical that the damage has affected — which usually means one bill instead of two.

Repair or Replace the Panel?
Not every dent needs a new panel. Where the metal is stretched but sound and the paint is intact, reshaping is usually faster and considerably cheaper. Where the panel is creased, torn or heavily corroded, replacement produces a better and longer-lasting result.
We will assess the damage and tell you honestly which applies, along with the cost of each option. The decision is yours.
Why Not to Leave It
Rust. Broken paint plus Auckland humidity equals corrosion, and structural rust is a WoF failure that costs many times more to repair than the original dent. Resale. Visible panel damage knocks a disproportionate amount off what a buyer will offer. Safety. Damage to a bumper or structural area can affect how a vehicle behaves in a subsequent impact. It gets worse. A small area of surface rust spreads. Dealing with it at the dent stage is always cheaper.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you do insurance work?
Talk to us about your claim.
How long will my car be off the road?
It depends entirely on the damage. Small dent work is often same-day or next-day; panel replacement and paint take longer because of preparation and curing time. We will give you a realistic timeframe with the quote.
Can you match my paint colour?
Paint is matched using the vehicle’s factory colour code, which is usually found on a plate in the door jamb or under the bonnet.
Do you repair rust?
We repair rust in non-structural panel areas. Structural rust is a more involved job and we will assess it before quoting.
Is a small dent worth fixing?
If the paint is broken, yes — that is the point at which it stops being cosmetic.
